Personally, I’ve never met anyone who hasn’t eaten a sandwich. We all have to agree that it is one of the most versatile creations of the culinary world. Eaten around the clock all over the world, sandwiches are sent off with school children, packed in lunchboxes for work and the most famous chain store of all, McDonalds, have made billions and billions of dollars off this fast food.

Crunchy, crispy, soft, sticky and sweet. These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of meringues. With summer in full swing in the northern hemisphere we are looking for some light and refreshing desserts and what better way to celebrate the season than with meringues. If you don’t know how to make meringues or are ill-equipped, don’t despair.

At last summer has arrived here in the UK and what better reason to celebrate than with a crispy, cool salad. Salads definitely top the list of the dish that is easy and quick to prepare and healthy.
