A group of three bloggers,Val of More Than Burnt Toast, Giz of Equal Opportunity Kitchen and Ivy of Kopiaste, unveiled our ambitious project for our Social Network Bloggeraid to launch our cookbook. Food is our medium and taking a role in alleviating world famine is our mission. Our wish is that you will share our excitement and help make a difference to our world by joining us on this journey.

The challenge this month is bread with cheese. Come join the fun and share your recipes.

Every month, Vin de la Table will pick a recipe for a cheese or dairy good from The Home Creamery book by Kathy Farrell-Kingsley, and participants will create the dairy products at home, then share their glories and mishaps on their blog or with VindelaTable.blogspot.com. After making the dairy product (here's the Vin de la Table hook), participants will pair it with a wine of their choice.

The concept of terroir can go far beyond the traditional use in the areas of wine and coffee, and be applied to those foods and drinks which truly give a sense of place, or the taste of the place can be observed in them. Would you join me in documenting an edible piece of your locale that you have a special connection with and would like to share with the world?

Grow Your Own is a twice-a-month blogging event that celebrates the foods we grow or raise ourselves and the dishes we make using our homegrown products. Anyone with a blog can participate! The rules are simple: Make a dish that uses at least one item from your very own garden or farm and post about it. Your garden doesn’t have to be big. Container gardens are welcome! If you hunted or foraged, those items are also eligible. You can also use something that was given to you, but the giver must have personally grown or raised the item. Cook any dish in Microwave using Paneer. It can be a starter, Main Course, Side dish or Sweets/Dessert.
